Higher Education & Teaching
My experience in higher education includes higher education instruction, administration, and research. My research examines the lived experiences of students from marginalized communities as it relates to the influence validation has on their persistence and sense of belonging. This research focuses on the general student population, graduate and undergraduate students, and athletic training healthcare education. I have also had the opportunity to spend time teaching in the high school setting and working in sports medicine as a clinician for over 20 years.
